|4/11 ||Mark your calendars for the American Cancer Society’s “Belles and Beaus Ball” on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014, at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington, Kentucky. The Gala committee is looking for YOUR help in nominating five women and five men who are very involved with giving back to the community in the Greater Lexington area. This person does not have to be a cancer survivor, nor do they have to be a current American Cancer Society volunteer. |

- Involved in community outreach in the greater Lexington area and/or an American Cancer Society advocate.
- Highly dedicated to our community, wellness, education and quality of life.
- Among the top in field due to education, experience, community service and commitment to a high level of healthcare or professional experience.

|4/12 ||The 2nd Annual Guns VS Hoses Basketball Game planning is underway. Your local firefighters|
from the Montgomery County Fire & EMS and the Police Officers of The Fraternal Order of
Police will participate in a highly competitive and action packed game. The event will be played
at the Montgomery County High School gym "The Barn" on April 12, 2014, festivities will
begin at 5pm, doors open at 4pm. In conjunction with the game there will be raffies, silent
auctions, half court shots and other activities during breaks throughout the evening.
All funds generated from this charity event will support local programs for each organization
such as Shop with a Cop, a scholarship to a graduating MCHS Senior, and new this year, The
Tony Clayton Community Service Award. Any donations and assistance with
this year's event will be greatly appreciated. •
